Bank Asia is acquiring the Bangladesh operations of Pakistan-based bank Alfalah. The private sector bank of Bangladesh had earlier made an offer to Bank Alfalah. The Board of Directors of Bank Alfalah has given in-principle approval for the acquisition by Bank Asia of the assets, liabilities and operations of the Pakistani bank in Bangladesh.
