Be patient, do not force the claim now: Dr. Yunus

Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus urged the countrymen to be patient. The chief adviser of the interim government urged not to insist on meeting all the demands. Yunus said, you have to be patient.

He made this call in his address to the nation on Sunday (August 25).

He said, I will only say that you have to be patient. The tendency to force all demands to be met immediately, to threaten individuals by entering institutions, to pressurize them to accept cases, to attack the arrested persons for trial in court and to pre-trial a kind of trial must come out of it.

The chief adviser said that the glory and potential of the revolution of the students will be dimmed in these activities, and the efforts to build a new Bangladesh will also be disrupted. Only two weeks have passed since the current government assumed office. Thank you very much for your support in the first phase of the work journey.

He said, we understand that you have high expectations from us. We are determined to fulfill this expectation. Despite the long absence of democracy, 15 years of fascist rule left us with a mountain of challenges on almost every front. But we are ready to accept this challenge. Today I have come before you to seek your prayers and cooperation on behalf of the government.

The Chief Adviser said that it is difficult to overcome this situation overnight. A shaky structure, I would rather say standing on a structure that is contrary to public interest, we have to work on the reconstruction of the country. From here we want to build Bangladesh in such a way that the people are the real source of all power in this country.

He said, the world is recognized as a humanitarian and welfare state. We must be successful in reforming the state to honor the sacrifices of the youth, students and masses. There is no other option.
