BJP calls for 12-hour strike in West Bengal

The BJP has called for a 12-hour 'Bangla Bandh' across the state on Wednesday (August 28) to demand the resignation of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. BJP's West Bengal state president Sukant Majumder announced the program on Tuesday (August 27).

According to the programme, this 'general strike' will continue from 6 am to 6 pm on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Trinamool opposed this program. Trinamool leader Kunal Ghosh said this is a conspiracy against Bengal. Don't fall into any traps. There will be no Bengal bandh in the heart of West Bengal. Public life will be normal. Fail the Bengal bandh called by BJP.

The police used batons on protesting students who protested the killing of the doctor in the Nabanna siege of the administrative building of West Bengal on Tuesday. Tear gas, water cannons are fired. After that, the BJP announced a program to stand with the students.

Sukant told reporters on Tuesday afternoon, we will start the sit-in program from tomorrow (Thursday). We will provide all legal and medical assistance to the students. On August 30, all men and women come down to the streets with the call of our Mahila Morcha. This movement is not of BJP, it is movement of people.

Then in a response, Trinamool leader Kunal Ghosh said, is it a student movement? No anti-social movement? Are they students? Everyone saw who went to break the barricade. The police did what was necessary to stop the crowd. There was no repression. Soon after this, the BJP called for a Bangla Bandh. Their masks are unmasked.
