Blockade of the highway demanding the resignation of the principal and assistant principal in Nandigram

The students of Ranbagha High School in Nandigram, Bogra, staged an hour-long blockade on the Bogra-Natore highway demanding the resignation of Principal Ajmiri Zaman Bakul and Assistant Principal Deb Dulal. Meanwhile, long lines of vehicles can be seen on both sides of the road. Students can submit a memorandum to the Upazila Settlement Officer (UNO).

In the memorandum, the students mentioned that the headmaster and assistant headmaster have committed various irregularities and corruptions including collecting extra money in form fill, embezzling school money and recruitment business. So we demand their resignation.

When asked about this, Ranbagha High School Headmaster Ajmiri Zaman Bakul said that the allegations leveled against me and Assistant Headmaster Deb Dulal are completely baseless, false and fabricated. We have been teaching along with running a reputable school. A group misled the students and issued conspiratorial blockade programs and memorandums.

Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) Humayun Kabir said, the students of Ranbagha High School gave me a memorandum. I have told them that necessary action will be taken after investigation.
