Today is August 21. On this day in 2004, there was a grenade attack on the then opposition party Awami League's rally against terrorism on Bangabandhu Avenue in the capital. Awami League president Sheikh Hasina survived the horrific attack, but 24 leaders and activists, including women leader Ivy Rahman, had to die. details
