BNP does not want to say anything about the 'National Citizen Committee'

A 55-member 'National Citizen Committee' has been announced under the leadership of anti-discrimination students. This committee was announced from the Central Shaheed Minar on Sunday. Muhammad Nasiruddin Patwari has been made the convener and Akhtar Hossain, the former social service secretary of Daksu, has been made the member secretary. Samantha Sharmin is the spokesperson of the committee.

Even before the formation of the committee, there were rumors about the new platform of anti-discrimination students. However, the leaders said that the announced committee is not a political platform. Their first task will be reform. They said they will work as a pressure group to bring reforms.

Bangladesh tried to find out the reaction of BNP, one of the largest political parties in the country, on the 'National Citizen Committee'. However, no one has agreed to comment on this matter now. First wants to see their activities, wants to understand. Talked to two members of BNP's policy making committee.

They said that a committee has been formed under the leadership of the students. Don't know their purpose, work. There was no opportunity to discuss in the BNP standing committee meeting. So I can't say anything right now. First see their activities, then comments can be made. Moreover, they said that everyone has the right to form groups and organizations.
