BNP in preparation for the election

Former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina was forced to leave the country after resigning as the head of the government in the mass uprising of students. An interim government led by Nobel laureate Dr. Yunus is running the country. After the uprising and the flood situation, the focus of discussion in the political arena is now the national election. This government has not given any roadmap for the upcoming national parliament elections. The head of the interim government and advisers are avoiding this topic. However, BNP has started preparing for the election as a political party. Leaders are going to the doorstep of the people. Assuring them in various ways. The party is also trying to gain new trust along with retaining people's trust.

After the fall of Sheikh Hasina, BNP is breathing a sigh of relief. After 18 years, the free environment is able to conduct party-activities. There is no law enforcement. No attack by the opposing team. Although the government has not given the election roadmap. Elections will be held today and tomorrow, it will be on the basis of discussion. According to BNP sources, we have to prepare as a political party for the election. So the preparations have started. Monitoring the popularity of the candidates. BNP could not hold elections in a free environment for many years. Two boycotted the elections, while one participated but did not allow candidates to stand in the field. Our movement had to struggle for 16-17 years. Attacks, cases, torture and oppression had to be endured. During this time, many people made notable contributions to the team. What kind of contribution, popularity should be seen. BNP Joint Secretary General Syed Emran Saleh told Bangladesh that a political party is always preparing for elections. We have that preparation. BNP has got the environment it needs for full preparation. When the government announces the election roadmap, we will start preparations in full swing.

BNP Acting Chairman Tarek Rahman has started a series of discussions with the district leaders to increase the possible preparations for the elections and the organizational activities of the party ahead of the National Assembly elections. On the first day held an exchange meeting with the districts of Rangpur division. After that, he exchanged views with the leaders and activists of all districts of Rajshahi, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions. Giving guidance to the activists in various directions. He is also giving a message of preparation for the national elections. The leaders and activists are asked to work to gain the trust of the public.

In the discussion meeting, Tariq Rahman said that the next election will be a tough test of history. BNP has always depended on public support for election results. BNP must continue to maintain the trust of the people after enduring hundreds of oppressions and tortures for the past 17 years. No act shall be done which undermines public confidence. Tariq Rahman ordered the Trinamool leaders and activists to work unitedly above all questions to gain the trust of the people from public involvement and to keep it intact.

Sylhet District BNP President Abdul Qayyum Chowdhury told Bangladesh that our party activities are continuing. BNP is always ready for election activities. All levels of our party leaders and workers are ready for the election. The Acting Chairman had a meeting with us. He told us to maintain party unity like in the past.
