Bobby-BM college students clash, 51 injured

Suddenly, there was an attack and clash between the students of Barisal University (BOB) and BM College at midnight. On Tuesday late night, several rounds of counter-attacks took place with the students of both educational institutions. The attack continued till 4 pm. At least 51 people were injured and admitted to Barisal Sher Bangla Medical College Hospital.

It is learned that the students of BM College went there for a disputed land in Battala area of ​​the city. Meanwhile, a group of students expressed their inability to talk to that family. A student of Barisal University lives in that house. When the news reached the university, some students from there came to the place.

It is claimed that the college students misbehaved with them. After that, an anti-discrimination leader of BM College was also attacked. From then on, tension started between the two students. At night, when Bobby students came in front of BM College, the conflict started. Later it took a terrible form. Students entered BM College and vandalized extensively.

Meanwhile, late at night, the army rescued the injured and sent them to the hospital. They brought the situation under control around 4 o'clock by explaining to both parties.

Confirming the matter, Barisal Kotyali Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mostafizur Rahman said that several people were injured in the clash between the two sides. The injured have been sent to hospital for treatment.

Earlier, a human chain was held in response to the occupation of disputed houses. The students of Bobby and BM College made a human chain in front of their campus on Tuesday afternoon.
