BRTA server is operational after one month

Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) damaged servers and IS have been restarted due to violence in anti-discrimination student movement. BRTA confirmed this information in a public notice on Monday (August 19) although the server was operational yesterday Sunday. According to the notification, as the server and IS installed in the BRTA building are operational, the services related to motor vehicles such as registration, transfer of ownership, fitness, tax-token and route permit and renewal or updating of driving license, taking driving license test, payment of advance income tax etc. Proceedings have resumed.

“In this situation, all concerned are requested to take the relevant services from the BRTA circle office immediately,” said the notification.

Earlier, BRTA servers in Banani and Mirpur were damaged by fire during the quota reform movement last month. Since then all activities of the organization were suspended.
