Bullying and personal humiliation are not permitted in the classroom: Education Advisor

Education adviser to the interim government, Wahiduddin Mahmud, said that no force can be used in the classroom and no one can be insulted personally. No matter how wrong he does, action will be taken as soon as possible as per the rules.

He said that it will take more time to make the new education policy. If he had time, he could have arranged the entire curriculum and given the book. But there is no such time. Therefore, there may be a change in the syllabus of next year's textbook.

Adviser Wahiduddin Mahmud said these things in a press briefing at the Secretariat on Wednesday (21 August).

He said that the kind of relationship expected of teachers-students in the classroom should be brought back. They want quality education.

It should be noted that the former economics professor of Dhaka University, Wahiduddin Mahmud, thinks that the weakest place in Bangladesh's education system is secondary education. He said that although primary education is government, there has been widespread irregularities and neglect in secondary education, which has become a major obstacle for students to go to higher education.
