Businessman hacked to death in Cox's Bazar


It has been alleged that a businessman named Nurul Amin Chiddiki Rashed (50) was stabbed to death in Ramu of Cox's Bazar. The incident took place on Saturday (August 31) at around 3:30 pm in Fulnirchar village of Kawarkhop union of the upazila.

Deceased Nurul Amin Ramu is the owner of N Amin Market in Bypass. Rashed's younger brother Saifur Rahman Sujan and Kamrul said that on Saturday afternoon his brother Nurul Amin Chiddiki went to Phulnirchar to take care of Rashed and Kamrul Bagan. Meanwhile, local identified terrorists chased them and stabbed two people. When they were rescued and taken to Cox's Bazar Sadar Hospital, the doctor on duty, Nurul Amin Chiddiki, declared Rashed dead.

Locals complained that even though the incident took place just one kilometer away from the police station, the police went to the spot. Because of this, there is extreme anxiety in the entire area.

Ramu Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abu Taher Dewan confirmed the stabbing death of businessman Rashed.

He said that the murder was organized due to a dispute over land. When asked why the police did not go to the spot, he said that he came to know about the murder in the evening. Moreover, the body has been taken to the hospital. Did not go for these reasons.
