Businessman killed in heatstroke in Gaibandha  All Bengal


A grocer named Shri Ravi Chandra Sarkar (35) was killed due to heatstroke in Gaibandha.

On Thursday (May 16) afternoon, he fell ill in a rice hotel in Lakshipur Hat of Sadar Upazila and died.

The deceased Ravi Chandra Das Sarkar is the son of Phanibhushan Sarkar of Nurpur village in Kamarpara union of Sadullapur upazila. He ran a grocery store business in the local Nurpur market.

Confirming the death in the evening, Kamarpara Union Parishad Chairman Mahfuzar Rahman said that in the afternoon, he went to the nearby Lakshmipur market to buy goods for the shop. After buying the goods he fell ill due to extreme heat. Meanwhile, he went to a nearby rice hotel and sat there saying to turn on the fan quickly.

He died before the people in the hotel rescued him and took him to the hospital.
