The government has canceled the rest of the HSC and equivalent exams of this year in the face of the students' agitation. Under the guidance of the Ministry of Education, the Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee has issued an order to cancel the remaining examinations due to unavoidable reasons. Now the education boards will start working on how the results will be produced and published.

However, the results will be published through subject mapping, said Inter Education Board Coordinating Committee and Dhaka Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board Examination Controller Professor Md. Abul Bashar. Moreover, the Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee will form a special committee to decide how the results will be generated through subject mapping.

Professor Abul Bashar said on Wednesday (August 21) that one or more committees will be formed to prepare the results of the canceled examinations. They will decide how to produce the fruit.

He said, post-coronavirus, we prepared public examination results by subject mapping. That committee still exists. This committee will now be abolished and a new special committee will be formed. They will work on the matter and submit the recommendation letter. Results will be prepared and published based on their recommendations.

In response to the question of when the committee will be formed and work will start, Professor Abul Bashar said that work on this matter can start today. If there is a committee, they will take responsibility and start working soon.

Subject mapping can be as follows

Although subject mapping has been mentioned to prepare the results, the education ministry and the boards have not yet disclosed the matter. Talking to the officials of the board, it is known that the exams given by the students, the mapping of the remaining exams can be done on the basis of the SSC exam. Also thinking about following up the results of the latest test given to the students in the college. Although it is still not final.

When asked, President of the Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee Prof. Tapan Kumar Sarkar said that no final decision has been taken yet on how the results will be prepared and published. It has been decided to cancel the exam for the time being.

Urging the students to be patient, he said, all the boards will discuss it. The Ministry of Education will also give instructions in this regard. Then how the results will be generated and published will be finalised. Students should be patient. We will tell you everything.

HSC and equivalent exams started on June 30. There were 14 lakh 50 thousand 790 candidates. After eight days of examinations as per the routine published in the first phase, all examinations on July 18 were postponed due to the situation surrounding the quota reform movement. After that, the government postponed the examination for three more rounds.

According to the schedule, there were still 13 days of 61 subject examinations to be conducted. So many exams are stuck due to different subjects of different departments (Science, Humanities and Commerce). Although every student has to appear in the examination in 13 subjects. It includes four subjects of compulsory Bengali and English (first and second papers) and ICT. And 8 subjects are optional.
