The Board of Directors of Central Insurance Company Limited, listed in the insurance sector of the capital market, has released the unaudited financial report for the second quarter (April-June, 2024) and half-yearly (January-June, 2024) of the current financial year. According to published reports, the profit of the company has increased slightly in the current half-yearly quarter.
Dhaka and Chittagong Stock Exchange (DSE) said this information on Monday (August 19).
According to the data, the company's earnings per share (EPS) in the second quarter of the current financial year was Tk 0.53. The company's profit per share was Rs 0.54 in the corresponding period of the previous financial year. Accordingly, the profit per share of the company decreased by Tk 0.01 or 1.85 percent in the quarter under discussion.
Meanwhile, the company's earnings per share (EPS) for the six months or half-yearly quarter of the current financial year stood at Tk 1.06. The company's profit per share was Rs 1.05 in the corresponding period of the previous financial year. Accordingly, the company's EPS increased by Tk 0.01 or 0.95 percent in the quarter under discussion.
As on June 30, 2024, the company's net asset value per share (NAVPS) stood at Tk 49.47.
