Chanchal died on the way back with the sweets from Nanabari


A student named Jannatuzzaman Chanchal (16) was killed when he was hit by a truck on his way back to Nana's house with sweets for his SSC exam pass. The accident happened near Bhatpara DC Ecopark on Gangni-Kathuli road in Meherpur around 4 pm on Monday (May 13).

Chanchal is the son of Rakibuzzaman of Chougacha Mollapara village of Gangni upazila. He has now passed the SSC exam from Thanthi School and College.

Chanchal's father Rakibuzzaman said that his son passed SSC on Sunday (May 13). Today his grandparents went to Dhala village to give sweets. Chanchal died after being hit by a truck on his way back.

Chanchal's friend Alif said, we were coming from Naopara to Gangni by easy bike. Four passengers of the Easybike were thrown on the road when a speeding truck hit them from behind. Later Chanchal was rescued and taken to Gangni Upazila Health Complex where he was pronounced dead by the doctor on duty.

Sumaiya Akhtar, the doctor in charge of the emergency department of Gangni Upazila Health Complex, said that he died before being brought to the hospital. He died of massive bleeding due to a head injury.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Gangni Police Station. Tajul Islam confirmed this information and said that the police reached the hospital to recover the dead body. The killer truck fled immediately after the incident. But the truck is being searched.
