Passenger Chattla Express train derailed in Dulahazara area of ​​Chakaria upazila of Cox's Bazar on Chittagong-Cox's Bazar railway. The accident took place on Wednesday (April 24) around 10:30 am at Reservepara in Dullahazara Union. Local residents fear that the train derailed as the miscreants removed the nuts and bolts of the rails.

Golam Rabbani, station master of Cox's Bazar iconic railway station, said that the special train Chattla Express left Chittagong at around 7 am. The train was supposed to reach Cox's Bazar around 11:30 am. But, before that, the train derailed at Dulhazara section around 10:30 am. People have left from Chittagong railway station for line renovation. He could not clarify what caused the train to crash.

Chairman of Dulhazara Union Parishad Hasanul Islam Adar told the locals that the miscreants removed the stones of the rail line and removed the nuts and bolts.
