A five-year-old girl named Tanya died in Sherpur Nakla.
The accident took place in the Narayankhola village of the upazila on Sunday (March 24) evening. Deceased Tanya is the daughter of Abdul Quddus of that village.
Locals said that in the evening the child Tanya was running from the house along the paved road in front of the house. Meanwhile, a speeding easybike from Chandrakona area hit him and he fell on the side of the road and was seriously injured. Later his relatives rescued him and took him to Nakla Upazila Health Complex. At that time the doctor on duty declared him dead.
Local Charashtadhar UP Chairman Golam Rabbani confirmed the truth of the incident.
