China Khatun arrested with 102 pitch Yaba

A woman drug dealer named China Khatun (34) has been arrested with 102 pitch yabas in Nalitabari of Sherpur. On Friday (June 7), the raiding team of the District Narcotics Control Department conducted an anti-narcotics operation in Barmari Bazar area of ​​the upazila and arrested him.

According to the sources, the officials of Sherpur District Narcotics Control Directorate came to know based on secret information that Fajar Ali's son Faruk Hossain, a resident of Barmari Bazar area bordering Nalitabari Upazila, was selling Yaba tablets along with his wife China Khatun for a long time. On the basis of such secret information, a raiding team led by Inspector Chiddikur Rahman of the District Narcotics Control Directorate conducted an operation in the area around 8 am on Friday. In this, 102 pitch yaba was found in the zip of polythene in the bag of arrested China Khatun after searching the house of Farooq Hossain. He was later arrested. China Khatun's husband Faruk Hossain ran away. Officials said that there are multiple cases under the Narcotics Act against the fugitive Farooq Hossain.

Confirming the matter, Sherpur District Narcotics Control Directorate Inspector Chiddikur Rahman said that a case has been filed at Nalitabari Police Station under section 9 (1) of the Narcotics Control Act 2018 against China Khatun and her fugitive husband Farooq Hossain.
