'Citizen services will be continued with utmost importance'

The newly appointed administrator of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) said that citizen service activities will be continued with utmost importance. Mah. Sher Ali.

He said these things after participating in an exchange meeting regarding the smooth running of official activities with department heads, regional executive officers and supervising engineers of different departments of the corporation on Tuesday (August 20) at Buriganga Hall of Nagar Bhaban.

Sher Ali said, you know that in a special context, the government has instructed me to serve as the administrator of Dhaka South City Corporation. In view of that, I discussed with colleagues today. Informed from them whether there are any challenges in the current work of the Corporation and provided guidance on them, especially to provide civic services to the people in a better, more efficient manner. We hope to continue to provide those services with utmost importance.

In response to a question, he said that the services provided by Dhaka South City Corporation are continuing and will continue. The government will decide centrally what will happen to the services provided through the councilors and the position of the councillors. We are looking into the offices of councilors that have been affected, so that we can provide services better. We hope that the recent events will not hamper the civic service activities. We will move forward, God willing.
