A college student named Murad Hasan (18) died due to electrocution in Baliadangi of Thakurgaon. The incident took place in Ziabari Dakshin Duari village of Barapalashbari union of the upazila on Friday afternoon.
College student Murad Hasan was the son of Matiur Rahman of that area and a second year student of Government Shaheed Akbar Ali College of Science and Technology.
Eyewitnesses said that Murad Hasan, a college student, had used the tube well to take a bath for Friday prayers at noon. At that time, he got electrocuted when he tried to switch the electric switch of the water pump.
“Relatives of the college students rescued him from the spot and rushed him to Baliadangi Upazila Health Complex, where he was pronounced dead by doctor Murad.
Confirming the truth of the incident, Baliadangi Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Firoz Kabir said, this incident is a case of wrongful death.
