Dipu Moni 4, Joy 5 days remand

Awami League Central Committee joint general secretary and former minister Dr. Arrested in the case of the murder of grocery shopkeeper Abu Saeed in Mohammadpur of the capital due to the indiscriminate shooting of students in anti-discrimination movement. The court granted remand of four days to Dipu Moni and five days to former Deputy Sports Minister Arif Khan Joy.

On Tuesday (August 20), Inspector Tofazzal Hossain of Mohammadpur police station requested to remand them for 10 days for proper investigation of the case.

After the hearing, the court of Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate of Dhaka Sultan Sohag Uddin granted their remand.

Detective Police informed about the arrest of Dipu Moni from Baridhara DOHS area of ​​Dhaka on Monday evening. A few hours later, the Dhaka Metropolitan Police announced the arrest of Arif Khan Joy from Dhanmondi area of ​​Dhaka.

Dipu Moni and Joy were arrested amid a series of cases and arrests against Awami League minister-members of parliament after the fall of the government.
