State Minister for Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs Kujendra Lal Tripura MP said that the Chittagong Hill Tracts Government has been following the law and order. The hill region has been known as a special region since the British period. As a result of the Chittagong Hill Tracts Peace Agreement, the Ministry of Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs was formed. All organizations in this region are governed by law and order.
He said that if there is disruption in law and order, there will be disruption in the development work of the government. It is only in our interest if we can live in peaceful co-existence in accordance with law and order.

After the meeting, State Minister for Hills Kujendra Lal Tripura MP said in response to a question from reporters, there is no such thing as invisible power of the hill region. The issue of dredging of Kaptai lake has been presented in Eknek meeting, if passed then the work will start in the next financial year. The government is working to maintain peace and law and order in the hilly areas. Maintaining peace and order in the hilly areas is not possible for anyone alone. Collectively everyone has to participate in it. People and public representatives should come forward to protect law and order.
The state minister said, we have to move forward together with the mainstream of Bangladesh through the coexistence of all communities and groups in the hilly regions. We are working under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to make not only the hilly regions but the entire Bangladesh as a secular state. There will be no caste-group-community distinction here. All communities must work together for the development of Bangladesh.
The state minister said that illegal weapons recovery operation is going on in the hilly areas and the illegal weapons recovery operation will be intensified in the coming days.
