In districts where 60 km speed storm is expected, warning in river ports

According to the Meteorological Office, the storm can blow at a speed of 45 to 60 km per hour over 7 regions of the country. The river ports in these areas have been asked to display warning signal number 1.

It is said that over Khulna, Barisal, Patuakhali, Comilla, Noakhali, Chittagong and Cox's Bazar regions, there may be temporary rain or thunder with gusty wind speed of 45 to 60 km per hour from south southwest direction. The river ports in these areas have been asked to display warning signal number 1.

It is also said that during the next 24 hours from 6 pm on Friday, many places of Rangpur, Khulna, Barisal, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions and some places of Rajshahi, Dhaka and Mymensingh divisions may experience light to moderate rain/thunder with gusty winds temporarily. Also, there may be moderate to very heavy rains in some parts of the country. As a result, day temperatures across the country may increase slightly and night temperatures may remain almost unchanged.

Cox's Bazar recorded the highest rainfall of 275 mm in the country on Thursday. The second highest rainfall of 194 mm was recorded in Comilla. Apart from this, no rainfall has been recorded in Feni in the last 24 hours, said the Meteorological Office.
