An anonymous source said, due to this interview, Dr. on the sidelines of the United Nations session. There may not be any bilateral meeting between Yunus and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Hindustan Times said, Dr. with Modi at the United Nations. Bangladesh made an offer to India last week to host Yunus' meeting. There is no official response from India yet. Because the issue of Modi's bilateral meeting in New York has not been finalized yet.

Professor Yunus said in an interview to PTI that nobody is comfortable with Sheikh Hasina's position in India. Because, we want to bring him back to the country to be brought to justice. He is staying in India and speaking at the same time; Which is causing the problem. If he had kept silent, we would have forgotten (the matter); People also forget; Because he lived in his own world. But sitting in India, he is talking and giving various instructions. Nobody likes it. Everyone understands this. We strongly suggest that he should remain silent. This (his speech and instructions) is unfriendly to us. He has been sheltered there and is campaigning from there. It is not that he went there in a normal situation. He fled in the face of mass uprising and public outrage.

Regarding a statement by Hasina on August 13, Dr. Yunus says these things. In the statement, Sheikh Hasina demanded 'justice' and said those involved in recent 'terrorist activities', killings and looting must be identified and punished subject to investigation. Dr. Yunus said, India needs to move away from the rhetoric of labeling everyone except Sheikh Hasina as 'Islamist'. Bangladesh will bring him back because that is what the people want.

'Yes, he must be brought back, otherwise the people of Bangladesh will not live in peace. The kind of cruelty he has shown, he needs to be judged here in front of everyone.

It should be noted that Sheikh Hasina was forced to flee the country in the face of the popular uprising of students on August 5. That day he took refuge in Delhi, India. Since then, Sheikh Hasina has been there.
