DU Chhatra Dal leader murdered in Suhrawardy Gardens, protests on campus

Shahriar Alam Samya, the literary and publishing editor of the university, was killed by a sharp weapon at Suhrawardy Udyan adjacent to Dhaka University (DU).

It is initially believed that he was murdered in the attack on a group of miscreants. Dhaka University has been protesting demanding the arrest and punishment of the culprits and the security of the students on campus.

The doctors declared him dead when classmates took Shahriar Alam to Dhaka Medical College Hospital on Tuesday (May 7) at around 12pm.

Shahriar Alam Samya (25) is a student of the Department of Education and Research of DU. He lived in the number 222 room of F Rahman Hall. His home is in Ullapara upazila of Sirajganj.

Shahriar Alam's classmate Ashraful Islam Rafi said, “At night Suhrawardy Gardens were passing by the free stage. At that time, another bike was hit.

According to the doctor, the in -charge of the Dhaka Medical Police Camp confirmed the death of the doctor. Farooq.

He said that Shahriar Alam's classmates brought him to the hospital's emergency department at night and the doctor examined him and declared him dead. He has a sharp weapon injury to his right leg. The body has been kept in the morgue for autopsy.

Shahriar Alam's body has been kept in the morgue of Dhaka Medical College.

The students staged a protest march from the Hallpara on the campus around 2pm. They visited the terrorist Raju sculpture in different halls and held a brief rally.

In the protest, the students slogan 'My brother is dead, the administration wants reply', 'My brother in the grave, why the murderer outside', 'want justice justice, brothers want justice'.

Some of the protesters are saying that the DU Vice -Chancellor's residence is on Facebook.
