Interested candidates are invited to send application form in the prescribed form for admission to MPhil program of Dhaka University (DU) in the academic year 2024-2025. The last date of application is fixed on May 23.
Last Thursday (April 18) this information was informed in a circular signed by Deputy Director of Public Relations Department Rafiqul Islam.
According to the notification, the candidates have to select the supervisor from among the teachers of the concerned department/institute. Must apply for MPhil research under and through a supervisor. Dhaka University till May 23 website Application form can be downloaded from
Tk 1000 for the admission form fee should be deposited at the Janata Bank TSC branch by May 23. The application form should be duly filled and submitted to the office of the Chairman of the concerned Department/Director of the Institute within the same date.
Original copy of fee deposit receipt, photocopies of all examination certificates and mark sheets and one recent passport size photograph attested by the concerned Supervisor/Chairman of the Department/Director of the Institute should be submitted along with the application form.
Also, an outline of the research should be submitted with the application form.
Admission Eligibility
Except for all public universities of Bangladesh, private universities and those who have passed the Bachelor (Honours) and Master's examination from abroad must apply to the Convener of the Central Equivalency Committee (Dean, Faculty of Biology, adjacent to Curzon Hall) for the evaluation of the equivalency of their obtained degree before accepting the application form. Candidates with MBBS/Honours degree can apply in the department related to their degree.
Candidates must have at least second division/class in all examinations and 3.50 out of 5.00 in CGPA norms and 3.00 out of 4.00 in CGPA norms.
Candidates with Disabilities, Minorities and Transgender candidates should have minimum second division/class in all examinations and 3.00 out of 5.00 and 2.50 out of 4.00 in CGPA system.
