3 people were burnt in the explosion due to gas leakage in Savar's Ashulia. The burn victims have been admitted to Dhaka's Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery.

On Thursday (April 18) afternoon, Kurgaon Amtala area of ​​Ashulia said. This incident happened at Shamsuddin's house.

Burned people are the manager of the godown. Suman (30) and neighboring tenant old woman Majeda Begum (55). However, another buyer who came to buy furniture was burnt. The fire service could not identify him.

Sujan Molla, brother of Suman who was burnt, said that the doctors said that 43 percent of my brother's body was burnt.

Senior station officer of Jirabo Modern Fire Service, Abu Sayem Masum, said, “We got the news of the explosion in the afternoon. I went there and saw that the locals had extinguished the fire. Originally a furniture godown in a residential building was rented by the owner. At 5:30 in the afternoon, the godown was opened and the manager of the store, Suman, took a customer to show the furniture. At that time somehow the godown exploded due to fire and caught fire. At that time, two people who were in the godown and a neighboring tenant got burnt. Later they were sent to Sheikh Hasina National Burn Institute in Dhaka.

When asked to know the cause of the explosion, the fire service official said that because the furniture warehouse was closed before Eid, gas had accumulated inside. The room also had a cooking stove with Titus' residential connections. Probably, the explosion happened due to the fire in the accumulated gas from the leakage of the gas line.

RisingBD's Dhaka (Savar) representative Ariful Islam Sabbir said that the initial assumption of the fire service was that the fire occurred due to gas leakage. Deputy Assistant Director of Fire Service Dhaka Zone-4. Alauddin said, we reached the spot after receiving the news and found a small fire. That is what has been extinguished. Before we arrived, the locals rescued the injured and sent them to the hospital.
