A fire broke out in a chemical warehouse at Islambagh in Chawkbazar of the capital. 8 units of fire service are working to control the fire.
The fire broke out around 3:30 pm on Friday. Fire Service Duty Officer Rashid Bin Khalid confirmed the matter.
He said that the news of a fire in a chemical godown in Chawkbazar's Islambag came at 3:30 in the night. The first unit arrived within 5 minutes after receiving the information and started working to control the fire. Due to the high level of the fire, seven units were dispatched one by one.
Initially, the fire service official could not give any information about the cause of the fire, damage and casualties.
