Former Attorney General and former President of the Supreme Court Bar AJ Muhammad Ali has passed away (Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilaihir Rajiun). He died while undergoing treatment at Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore on Thursday (May 2) morning.

Former Attorney General and former President of the Supreme Court Bar AJ Muhammad Ali has passed away (Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilaihir Rajiun). He died while undergoing treatment at Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore on Thursday (May 2) morning.
Chief Justice Obaidul Hasan expressed deep grief over the death of AJ Muhammad Ali, a senior lawyer of the Supreme Court. He prayed for the bereaved soul of the deceased and expressed his deepest condolences to the bereaved family.
AJ Muhammad Ali served as the twelfth Attorney General of Bangladesh from 2005 to 2007.
His father m. H. Khandkar was the first Attorney General of Bangladesh. He was admitted to practice in the High Court in 1980 and in the Appellate Division in 1985. He was appointed Additional Attorney General on 23 October 2001.
Appointed as Attorney General on 30 April 2005. Resigned on January 24, 2007. He served as President of the Supreme Court Bar Association and President of the Executive Committee of the Bangladesh Bar Council.
