Former Foreign Minister Hasan Mahmud left the country for Belgium

Foreign Minister of Awami League government. Hasan Mahmood left the country and is staying in Belgium with his family. He lives with his only son and wife Nooran Fatema at his home in Hasselt City, Limburg Province, Belgium.

From there, Hashan Mahmud also talked to Germany and Dhaka-Chittagram on mobile phones. Among them, one of the people he talked to on a phone call from Belgium is Alamgir Apu, chief editor of Chittagong's regional language IPTV C Plus.

6 days after the former foreign minister left the country, following the application of the ACC, the court banned Hasan Mahmud from leaving the country on September 2. Later on August 6, former state minister Junaid Ahmad Palak and former foreign minister Hasan Mahmud were arrested at Dhaka's Shahjalal International Airport – rumors spread on social media.

Later Palak was shown arrested but Hasan Mahmood was missing. However, despite leaving the country, after the fall of the government, there have been many murder cases against Hasan Mahmud in Dhaka-Chittagong. Questions have arisen as to how he went to Belgium despite so much government surveillance.

It is known that Hasan Mahmud did not go directly to Belgium from Dhaka. He first went to Germany's Dusseldorf Airport via Dubai on an Emirates flight on August 26 at 3:30 p.m. From there, General Secretary of German branch of Awami League, Mubarak Ali Bhuiyan Bakul, drove him to his home in Belgium by road.

Confirming the matter, Bakul said, he (Hasan Mahmud) is there and saved, that's all. And the next day we had a meeting in Belgium where he had already told that he would not be able to attend. He is not communicating with anyone there, he is not communicating with anyone.

Meanwhile, this former foreign minister talked to Alamgir Apur, chief editor of Chittagong's regional language IPTV C Plus, for 15 minutes at 10:27 pm on August 31. At this time, Apu also expressed his regret for stopping the broadcast of C-Plus for some time due to his anger.

Confirming the matter, he said, he (Hasan Mahmood) called me on August 31 around 10:30 pm. By calling…he may have realized his mistake and after realizing he called me and expressed his regret in many words. He is ashamed of it. Hashan Mahmud also told Apu that his wife is at home in Belgium with his family.
