Four teams in the semi-finals of the football tournament

Annual sports competition 2024 is going on at Walton Hi-Tech Park in Chandra, Gazipur. 32 teams of employees of operating departments and units participated in this competitive football tournament. From there, four teams advanced to the semi-finals with proof of qualification. The teams are Optical Prime, Binoculars, Metal Titans and Composite Titans.

Next Sunday (November 24) at 5:30 pm, Optical Prime and Durbeen will meet in the first semi-final at the Walton Headquarters Helipad Play-ground. And on Wednesday (November 27) at the same time, Metal Titans and Composite Titans will fight in the second semi-final at the same venue.

Before that, Avengers and Optical Prime faced each other in the first quarter-final. No one scored in the hard-fought match in the allotted time. Then the match is made in tiebreaker. There, Optical Prime entered the semi-finals by defeating the Avengers with a margin of 5-4. Opticool's goalkeeper Shakil was adjudged the man of the match for his outstanding performance, especially his saves in the penalty shootout to keep the team in the match.

Metal Titans and Nine Eagles battled in the second quarter final. Metal Titans beat Nine Eagles 2-1 in the match and reached the last four. Moseroff of Metal Titans was selected as the best player for his outstanding performance, goals as well as assists, passing accuracy. Nine Eagles' Asif was adjudged the Emerging Player of the Match for his excellent defending performance and passing accuracy as well as goal scoring in the match.

Composite Titans faced Cyclone Fighters in the third quarter final. The match went to a tiebreaker after a goalless draw. Even there, if the tie is not broken, Composite Titans beat Cyclone Fighter by 8-7 in sudden death and entered the semi-finals.

Durbeen and FC Avengers faced each other in the fourth and last quarter-final. The match ended with a 1-1 draw. Then in the tiebreaker. There, Durveen secured the semi-final by defeating FC Avengers by 5-4.
