Girl killed by BSF firing at Moulvibazar border

A girl named Swarna Das (14) was killed in BSF firing in Moulvibazar border area. The incident took place on Sunday night (September 2) in the Lalarchak border area of ​​Sharifpur Union of Kulaura Upazila. His body was later taken away by the BSF.

Deceased Swarna Das is the daughter of Parendra Das, a resident of Kalanigarh village of Paschim Juri Union of Juri Upazila. Swarna was a student of class VIII.

Swarna's father Parendra Das said that his eldest son lives in Tripura, India. To see him, Swarna and her mother tried to cross the Lalarchak border to India illegally with the help of two local brokers on Sunday night. When they reached the Indian barbed wire fence around 9 pm, the BSF opened fire on them, killing Swarna on the spot but luckily Swarna's mother survived.

He also said that a team of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) came to the house on Monday night and reported the news. They also said that Swarna's body was taken away by BSF.

BGB Lalarchak BOP Commander Naik Obaid said, I heard that one of the Bangladeshis was shot dead by the BSF while they were sneaking to India.
