Goodbye to international football Gundwan sport

Two German stars Toni Kroos and Thomas Müller joined the retirement procession after the last Euro tournament. Barcelona star Ilkay Gundwan joined that list. This German midfielder announced his retirement from international football.

Gundwan confirmed his retirement through social media. The 33-year-old star wrote, 'After a few weeks of reflection, I have come to the conclusion that the time has come to end my national team career. I never dreamed that I would play so many matches for the country at the time of debut.

Gundwan started his journey for Germany in 2011. He scored 19 goals in more than an era. The match against Spain in the quarter-finals of the last European Championship held in Germany was his last match for the national team.

Forward Thomas Müller also bid farewell to the national team after losing that match and being knocked out of the tournament. In addition, midfielder Toni Kroos retired from professional football with the Euros.
