Government advisers will go to inspect the flood situation

Comilla, Feni, Chittagong, Khagrachari, Noakhali and Moulvibazar have been submerged in heavy rains and torrential rains from India. The advisors of the interim government will visit these flood affected areas. Relief assistance will be given to the flood victims.

This decision was taken at the advisory council (cabinet) meeting on Thursday.

Details of the meeting will be announced at a press conference at the Foreign Service Academy at 6 p.m.

Before this, on the afternoon of August 16, the chief advisor Professor Dr. Bangabhaban. The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Muhammad Yunus.

Sheikh Hasina resigned from the post of Prime Minister in the face of anti-discrimination student movement on August 5 and left the country. The cabinet was dissolved soon after. The next day (August 6) the twelfth national parliament was dissolved. Then on August 8, the interim government was sworn in.
