He was shot dead and lying on the street, free, meaning treatment was off

After the fall of the government due to the anti-discrimination student movement in Sreepur, Gazipur, the victory procession started on August 5. After the procession neared the Mauna Palli Vidyut intersection, suddenly a bullet hit Kishore Swadhani in the neck. The bullet penetrated one side of the throat and exited the other side. Immediately the teenager collapsed on the road.

At first, the local people thought that Swadhin had died. That's why no one took him to the hospital. He was lying injured on the side of the road for about 2 hours. Later, when he moved freely, local people came to rescue him after hearing the sound of gongani. His parents and relatives rushed to the spot. Relatives took him to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital around 8 pm in an autorickshaw. Even after staying there for 2 days, he did not get the desired medical care. To save the suffering son, the family members admitted him to another private hospital. There, the family members stopped the treatment in the middle and brought him home. Currently Kishore Swadhani is spending every moment in pain.

Charkhalouja village of Durgapur upazila of Netrakona district is the home of the injured independent. Tara Baba Abdus Satta is a vegetable seller. He sells vegetables in Nayanpur market of Sreepur upazila of Gazipur by van. They live on rent in the house of Salim Mia of Mauna Uttarpara village. In a poor family, he helped his father in business.

Abdus Sattar, father of Swadhin, said that he has two daughters and one son. In other words, he left his district and came to Gazipur. They had a hard time living. Darkness has descended around since the boy was shot. After studying in the 10th standard from an independent local Medhasidi school, he could not study again due to lack of education.

He said, 'On the last 5th (August 5th) I went to the victory procession with my friends. At the time of the incident, he was stuck at Mauna Palli Vidyut junction. There was firing going on at that time. A bullet entered through one side of Swadhin's throat and exited through the other. He was taken to (independent) government hospital for treatment. From there I took my son to a private hospital. 60,000 rupees have been spent on loans there. The doctors said to stay for a few more days. Due to the financial crisis, we brought home the independent. Now I can't buy proper food and medicine.'

Swadhin's mother Hajera Khatun said, 'Due to lack of money, her son's treatment stopped midway. His father's business is also closed to run after his son. We all have darkness now.'
