Hezbollah's rocket-drone attacks set fires across northern Israel

The Lebanese armed group Hezbollah has launched a series of rocket and drone attacks along Israel's northern border. About 10,000 dunams or 10 square kilometers of area were burnt in this attack along with civilian casualties. This information is known from the report of Times of Israel.

Hezbollah started attacking Israel's northern border with rockets and drones from Monday night local time. However, the Israeli media did not give any information about how many rockets or how many drones were used in this attack.

Israel's Fire and Rescue Services said more than 30 firefighting units were working to put out the blaze, which closed several major roads in the Galilee area. The Fire Department said in a statement that there were no casualties or damage to civilian infrastructure in these Hezbollah attacks.

Earlier, the Israel Nature and Parks Authority said that 10,000 dunums or 10 square kilometers of trees were burnt in open areas including nature reserves as a result of bushfires caused by rockets fired by Hezbollah in the north of Israel last Sunday. Dozens of firefighting units worked for hours to put out fires caused by rocket fire in the city of Katzrin on the Golan Heights and elsewhere, they said. Some areas were still burning on Monday. Sharon Levy, director of the Israeli Nature and Parks Authority's Golan district, told Israeli media outlet Wynet News on Monday that the fire, caused by rockets fired by Hezbollah, had burned areas including the Yehudiya Forest Nature Reserve, hiking trails and the reserve's Black Canyon.
