Human chain in protest against attack on traders in Kaliakore

In Gazipur's Kaliakoir, locals have formed a human chain in protest against the attack on the businessmen for refusing to pay donations. On Sunday (August 31) morning, the human chain was made in the area of ​​Mouchak bus station in Gazipur on the Dhaka-Tangail highway.

Masood Parvez, President of the Beehive Market Traders' Association, said that for the past few days, some terrorists have been demanding money from the beehive market traders. A group of 15/20 terrorists attacked the traders on Friday (August 30) afternoon when the traders refused to pay the contribution.

In this, at least 7 businessmen were injured, including two stabbings. The injured have been admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital and local hospitals. A few students who were present at the scene of the incident and stopped them were also attacked by the demanders.

In this regard, a complaint has been filed on behalf of Mouchak Bazar Business Association at Kaliakair Police Station. Businessmen, students and locals have formed a human chain demanding justice and swift arrest of those who demand money and attackers.
