I have saved 1800 crore rupees in Padma Bridge project

The Interim Government has saved Rs 1,825 crore on the Padma Bridge project as part of its cost-cutting policy. This information was given by Muhammad Fawzul Kabir Khan, Advisor to Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources, Ministry of Road Transport and Bridges and Ministry of Railways.

This information was given by the advisor in the conference room of Jazeera Service Area-2 of Shariatpur at 6:30 pm today. Earlier he visited Padma Bridge.

The Road Transport and Bridge Advisor said, 'The last estimated cost of the Padma Bridge project by the previous government was Tk 32,605,520,000. The cost reduction policy has been tried and the final expenditure has stood at 30 thousand 770 crore 14 lakh taka. Here about 1 thousand 825 crores have been saved. It shows that if there was a good government, more expenditure could have been reduced.

Muhammad Fawzul Kabir Khan said, 'In the main bridge of the project, 530 crores, 800 crores in river management, 178 crores in connection roads and service areas, 500 crores in price reduction, 103 crores in land acquisition, 2000 crores in other cost reduction, 1825 crores have been saved. '

Adviser Fawzul Kabir Khan said that the interim government is working to gain the trust of the people, “From now on, price compression policy will be followed in every project.”

The advisor of the Ministry of Electricity and Mineral Resources, Ministry of Road Transport and Bridges and Ministry of Railways also said, 'Areas that are neglected, areas where there are no MP-ministers, there is no development.
