Ideal student murder: Inu on 4-day remand

The court granted 4-day remand to Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSAD) president and former information minister Hasanul Haque Inu in the murder case of Ideal College student Khaled Hasan Saifullah during the anti-discrimination student movement. He was remanded for the third time.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mehra Mahbub's court gave this order after the hearing on Sunday.

On this day, the police applied for his 7-day remand for proper investigation of the case. On the other hand, his lawyer applied for bail seeking cancellation of remand. After hearing both sides, Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mehra Mahbub rejected his bail application and granted a 4-day remand.

Earlier, Mohammadpur's Bachila area was shot. After a 5-day remand in the case of the death of a truck driver named Sujan, the police produced Inu in the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate's Court of Dhaka. After that, the investigating officer of the case requested to keep him in jail until the investigation of the case is over. In view of the application, Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mehdi Hasan ordered to send him to jail.

It is to be noted that a team of DB arrested Inu from a house in Uttara of the capital on the afternoon of August 26.

Police produced him in court the next day. After that, a 10-day remand was applied for a proper investigation into the case of the shooting death of businessman Abdul Wadud in Newmarket police station area of ​​the capital. After the hearing, Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Ali Haider granted his 7-day remand.
