Akkas Ali Roni (26) married Cynthia Islam Khusbu about two years ago. After the marriage, there was a quarrel between them on various issues.

On Tuesday (June 11) night, there was an argument between them about bringing the market to a rented house in Char Ganesh area of ​​Feni municipality. As a result, Akkas killed Khusbu with a baton early on Wednesday (June 12). Later he came to the police station and described the murder himself. Their home is in Bhola district.

Cynthia Islam Khushbu's mother Lipi Akhtar came to know that her daughter was killed by her husband on Wednesday morning. He came to Sonagazi Model Police Station in Feni from Dhaka that night.

At that time Lippi Begum was crying and said that Cynthia married Akkas, the family member. Later we ask them to come to Dhaka. For some time, Ali Akkas kept asking for money through Cynthia to do business. We have said that money will be given when you come to Dhaka. But instead of going to Dhaka, Akkas kept pressing Cynthia for money.

He said, Cynthia kept calling me after two o'clock on Tuesday night. After picking up the phone, Cynthia reveals that Akkas is beating her badly for money. After that, around 3:30 in the night, the girl called again and said, “Mom, if my phone is switched off, understand that your son-in-law has killed me.'' And before morning, the police said on the phone that my daughter was slaughtered by Akkas.

On Wednesday night, Cynthia's mother filed a murder case at the police station accusing Ali Akkas as the plaintiff. Cynthia's family took the body to Dhaka for burial after the autopsy on Thursday (13 June).

According to the police, based on the information found in the cabin recovered from Cynthia's mobile phone, Cynthia married the hawker Ali Akkas on September 1, 2022 with a dowry of Tk 1 lakh. After moving to Akkas on February 24 this year, the mother told Lipi Begum that they got married.

The investigating officer of the case, Deputy Inspector (SI) Shaibal Barua, said that Ali Akkas, who was arrested in the Cynthia murder case, was produced in the court of Senior Judicial Magistrate Sheikh Ashikur Rahman of Feni on Thursday afternoon. There Akkas gave a statement admitting responsibility by describing the murder. Later he was sent to Feni prison on the orders of the court.
