In Cox's Bazar, RAB and robbers killed a farmer


While rescuing a kidnapped NGO worker in Varuakhali, Cox's Bazar Sadar, RAB had a shootout with a group of robbers. At this time a local farmer named Baitullah Khulu was killed.

The incident happened on Monday (April 29) around 8:30 in the night at Murapara of Bharuakhali Union. The deceased Khulu is the son of Chhaidul Haque of that area.

Locals said that a farmer named Baitullah Khulu was shot by terrorists. When he was rescued and taken to the hospital, the doctor on duty declared him dead.

RAB-15 Senior Assistant Superintendent of Police Jamilul Haque confirmed the matter in the media.

He said that RAB went on a raid in Varuakhali on the news of the kidnapping of a field worker named Masood of the micro credit organization. At this time, Farhad, the chief of the Shere army, and his companions fired at the RAB. Later, when they chased the terrorists along with the locals, they fired indiscriminately. At one point RAB also fired back.

RAB official Jamilul said that Farhad, the head of Shere force, has been detained with bullet wounds. Masood, a worker of the small credit organization Pattashi, was rescued from their hostage situation.
