The Meteorological Department has predicted a storm with a speed of 45-60 km per hour over 8 districts of the country. Therefore, the river ports of these areas have been asked to show the number one warning signal.

This was informed in a warning issued for the inland river ports of the country till 1 pm on Tuesday (August 20).

According to the notification signed by meteorologist AKM Nazmul Haque, temporary gusty or gale force winds will blow from south or south-east at 45 to 60 km per hour over Khulna, Barisal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Comilla, Chittagong, Cox's Bazar and Sylhet districts. can Rain or thundershowers may also occur.

Therefore, the river ports of these areas have been asked to show warning signal number 1.

Meanwhile, another weather bulletin said that the distinct low pressure over the southern part of Bangladesh and nearby Gangetic West Bengal has weakened and is staying in the form of a low pressure in the same area. In this situation, the seaports of the country have been asked to show local warning signal number 3.
