Indian Armed Forces ordered to be ready for 'unforeseen' situations

Urging the commanders of the armed forces to keep an eye on the current situation in Bangladesh, Indian Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said that India should be prepared to anticipate the problems that may arise in the future and deal with unexpected events.

Rajnath Singh made the call while addressing the joint commanders' conference in Lucknow on Thursday (September 5). He spoke on the second and final day of the Joint Commanders' Conference. In his speech, Rajnath stressed on developing a joint military vision and preparing for the challenges that the country might face in the event of a war.

The Indian media The Telegraph reported that the defense minister called for an analysis of the Russia-Ukraine, Israel-Hamas war and the current situation in Bangladesh. Besides, Rajnath Singh also emphasized on the need for deep analysis of China's border and neighboring countries. He said that the events which are becoming a challenge for regional peace and stability should be analyzed and prepared to deal with them.

He also said that peace prevails in India despite the increasing unrest all over the world. However, at any time a turbulent environment can be created, so be careful. We have to keep an eye on what is happening around us and plan for the future. India is a peaceful country. But the armed forces must be prepared for war to maintain peace.

Rajnath also stressed on developing capabilities in space and electronic warfare. He also urged the military leadership to focus on increasing the use of the latest technological advancements in the field of artificial intelligence. He said these elements do not directly participate in any conflict or war, but their indirect participation largely determines the course of war.
