'Innovative Practices Necessary for Smart Bangladesh'


State Minister of Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives. Abdul Wadud Dara said that the government is adopting and implementing various innovative programs on a priority basis to build a smart Bangladesh. The present government is working with utmost importance to improve the fortunes of people in rural areas. However, for this, we all need a better mindset and innovative practices.

He said these things while addressing the Chief Guest at the 'Innovation Showcase and Best Innovative Award' ceremony organized by the Rural Development and Cooperatives Department of the Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives at Sirdap Auditorium in the capital on Wednesday (May 15).

The state minister said that innovative practices should be started in all villages of Bangladesh on the basis of cooperatives. It will change the face of agriculture in the country. Modernization of agriculture is essential for a developed and prosperous Bangladesh.

He also said that the father of the nation took an oath to build Sonar Bangla keeping in mind the development of rural areas. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is working in his continuity.

After this, the State Minister visited the innovative technology showcase of various organizations (BRDB, RDA Bogra, BARD, PDBF, SFDF) under the purview of Rural Development and Cooperative Department and said that the innovation of such extraordinary technology is mainly the result of research. Research makes human development.

LGRD Secretary Mosammat Shahanara Khatun presided over the event. Senior officials of the Rural Development and Cooperatives Department and other officials also spoke on the occasion.
