Earlier, 4 ICC chairmen from India served. They are Jagmohan Dalmiya, Sharad Pawar, N Srinivasan and Shashank Manohar. All of them went from BCCI to ICC. Shah is the fifth chairman from India. He will assume the new responsibility from December 1 this year.
Meanwhile, Jayshah is very happy to get the new responsibility and said, I am very happy to be the chairman of ICC. My team and I will work for the betterment of cricket around the world. We stand at a time where there is a need for a balance between different formats of cricket. Along with that new technology is also coming in cricket. The cricket market is growing. In this situation, we will start working to spread cricket more.
