Jaishah is the new chairman of ICC

Jay Shah is the new chairman of the International Cricket Council (ICC). The highest governing body of world cricket has confirmed this information in a press release today. India's Jay Shah has been elected as the new chairman of the International Cricket Council (ICC).

On Tuesday (August 27), the last day of submission of nominations, no one but Jaishah submitted nominations, so he was elected chairman unopposed. India's ICC has already announced Jaishah's name. Shah is the youngest chairman in the history of world cricket. He got this responsibility at the age of 35.

Earlier, 4 ICC chairmen from India served. They are Jagmohan Dalmiya, Sharad Pawar, N Srinivasan and Shashank Manohar. All of them went from BCCI to ICC. Shah is the fifth chairman from India. He will assume the new responsibility from December 1 this year.

Meanwhile, Jayshah is very happy to get the new responsibility and said, I am very happy to be the chairman of ICC. My team and I will work for the betterment of cricket around the world.
