Jason Aldean brought the heart of Music City to the neon glow of Las Vegas on Thursday, December 5, celebrating the grand opening of his fourth Jason Aldean’s Kitchen + Bar at 63 CityCenter.
It was a night that married Nashville’s charm with Vegas’s undeniable energy. Dressed in his signature jeans, plaid shirt, and cowboy hat, Aldean was presented with the Key to the Strip by Clark County Commissioner James Gibson, who declared December 5 as “Jason Aldean Day.” Gibson’s words — “Las Vegas considers him one of our own” — underscored the bond between the city and the country superstar. Aldean, joined by his wife Brittany, cut the ribbon to officially open the venue, a space he described as “a cool bar” and “a great opportunity for artists to play and grow.”
Newsweek was onsite and talked with the country music superstar who gave some insight on how the project came together. “I’m excited, man. It’s been a two year process and from the time we started talking about this to now to open the doors. It’s been a two-year process, so to finally be here, I’m excited, the place looks amazing. And so yeah, I’m just excited to finally open the doors and let everybody come in and check it out.”
The Vegas location spans 22,500 square feet. The two-story venue features two music stages, six bars, and a sprawling outdoor terrace overlooking the Strip. Aldean was thrilled about opening in Sin City, saying, “I mean, when I think of Las Vegas, you think of, you know, one of the capitals of entertainment in the whole world. So, for us to be able to come in here and have a bar with our name on it. For us to have our spot here and, you know, be making our mark in some cities, especially Las Vegas to me, is just, it’s unbelievable and just thankful for the opportunity and glad we have a chance to come in here and do our thing.”
The menu for the entertainment cornerstone was crafted in collaboration with Aldean himself and includes recipes from his mom’s kitchen. “My favorite thing on the menu food wise is probably the tomahawk steak. I’m a big steak guy. The steaks are amazing, pot roast, roasted potatoes, I’m a southern guy, man. I love southern food, so that, and then for dessert, my mom’s peach cobbler – that’s on the menu, which is amazing,” Aldean touted.
With his music career as hot as ever, the “You Make It Easy” singer isn’t slowing down. When asked about new music he told Newsweek, “We’re in the heat of it right now. I’m gonna have some new music out next year.” Aldean admitted he doesn’t know exactly what it looks like yet, but he’s “definitely gonna have some new music from a new album next year.” He continued about his process, saying, “We’re hard at work on that while we’re off the road. That’s kind of what we’re gonna do, you know, what we’ve been doing, and what we’re gonna do through January, February, you know, up until probably May. We’ll work on that, and then go back and start hitting the road and doing some shows.”
The night was a celebration of Aldean’s roots, as he performed his greatest hits, including “Dirt Road Anthem” and “My Kinda Party” across two stages – passing out shots of tequila and whiskey like a gracious host.
“This is wild,” Aldean told the crowd. “I started in bars, so to have my own bar here in Las Vegas is amazing.”
His words reflected not just pride, but gratitude, particularly for the venue’s role as a platform for emerging talent — a nod to his own journey. By evening’s end, Jason Aldean’s Kitchen + Bar had firmly established itself as a new hotspot on the Strip, where the soul of Nashville finds its place under the Vegas lights.
