The international youth leadership development organization Junior Chamber International (JCI) Bangladesh welcomed the Bengali New Year 1431 through Anandmukhar program.
The organization said in a circular that JCI Bangladesh organized this festival of Baishakh Baran on Saturday (May 4) at a restaurant in Mawar near the capital. The festival starts at 3 pm and lasts till 9 pm.
The festival was open to all JCI Bangladesh members, their friends and family members. Various interesting cultural programs including Nagordola, puppet dance, bioscope, Baisakhi fair, music and dance performances were organized. Besides, there was a spread of Bengali food.
JCI Bangladesh 2024 National President Senator Imran Qadir, JCI Bangladesh First Lady Samina Rupa and other National Governing Body members and local presidents of JCI Bangladesh were present on the occasion.
Imran Qadir said, 'JCI Bangladesh tries to highlight the traditional culture and traditions of Bengalis. We continue this endeavor through various initiatives and platforms. Today's arrangement to welcome this Bengali New Year is one of his efforts.
According to the circular, Junior Chamber International is an international organization of energetic young citizens aged 18 to 40 years. It has operations in more than 120 countries and has more than 2 lakh members worldwide. Currently 48 local chapters of JCI are working in Bangladesh.
