A tortured journalist has filed a case in the court of Comilla against Akam Baha Uddin Bahar, a former Member of Parliament of Comilla Sadar Constituency and known as a monster, for assaulting and torturing a journalist. Apart from the demon Bahar, 100 to 150 unknown people were named including the president of Mahanagar Sechsevak League Zahirul Haque Rintu and Bahar's bodyguard Dulal Mahmud.

On Tuesday (August 20), the case was filed in the court of Comilla by Bahar Uddin Raihan, a journalist of Time TV, resident of Kaptanbazar area of ​​Comilla city.

Comilla No. 1 Amli Court Judge Md. Abbas Uddin took cognizance of the case and ordered the CID to investigate.

It has been alleged in the case that journalist Bahar Raihan has been working in the field for a long time as the district representative of Time TV. On January 15, 2015, during the hartal of the 20-party alliance, ex-MP Bahar fired cocktail bombs at the BNP congregation and turned it into a battlefield. Several people including journalist Bahar were injured during the three-way clash. Then, when journalist Bahar was recording a video of the clash in an injured state, the workers of Awami League, Jubo League and Chhatra League beat journalist Bahar and snatched away the camera on the instructions of former member of parliament Bahar. In addition, he was repeatedly assaulted and mentally tortured at other times.

ist Bahar Raihan also said in the complaint of the case that MP Bahar also threatened to kill him if legal action was taken in the 2015 incident. Due to which the time to file the case has been delayed. Apart from this, former MP Bahar has filed many cases and attacks against some people including the editor of Comilla's popular daily newspaper Abul Kashem Hriday.

Three cases have been filed against former MP Bahar and his cadre forces in Comilla in the last three days. More cases are pending. Currently, former MP Bahar is trying to escape to London.
