Judges will give one day's salary to flood victims

The judges decided to give one day's salary to the chief adviser's relief fund in aid of the flood victims. Bangladesh Judicial Service Association, the organization of judges working in district courts, took this decision on Friday (August 23).

According to the notification, an emergency fund has been formed with one day's salary of the judges working in the district courts across the country. Apart from this, the organization is also participating in the relief activities to help the flood victims under its own management. A program has already been taken up to distribute dry food, medicines and clean water among the flood-affected people in the affected areas.

Judges have already responded positively to sending donations to the organization's emergency relief fund. It has been decided to collect an amount equal to one day's salary of the judges within the next two days and hand over the money to the Chief Counsel's Relief Fund.
