Kolkata is the new champion of IPL beating Hyderabad

After 10 years, Kolkata Knight Riders once again became the champions of IPL. The two most prominent teams of the tournament went to the finals. However, compared to that, the final of the seventeenth season of IPL did not spread much heat. Coming to the most important match of the season, Sunrisers Hyderabad lost completely.

But Kolkata was more perfect than the opponent's weakness. Bowling-batting was all in their favor today. An 8-wicket win in that one-off final gave KKR Shibir their third IPL title. After 2012 and 2014, Shahrukh Khan's team became the champion again.

Batting against the target of 114 runs given by Hyderabad in the final, the aggressive Kolkata had to play a total of 10.3 overs. Chandrakant Pandit's side easily crossed the target thanks to Venketash Iyer's aggressive fifty and Rahmanullah Gurbaj's well-timed innings. Even though Gurbaz was dismissed for 102 runs, he kept the team close to victory. His partnership of 91 runs with Venketash for the second wicket ensured Kolkata's victory.

And the last one was done by captain Shreyash Iyer. Venketash, who scored a 24-ball fifty, was unbeaten on 52 runs. The team's winning run also came from his bat.
